Robert Jones PT, DPT

Dr. Robert Jones, an owner of Tier 1 Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine, graduated in 1990 from University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. He earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from EIM Institute of Health Professions.

Robert has over 29 years of private practice experience in the field of physical therapy with an emphasis on orthopedics and sports medicine. Robert has volunteered his services by working with local high schools for the past 21 years. Other areas of interest include mission opportunities that have taken him around the world.

Robert’s passion is providing the ultimate physical therapy experience by building a relationship with each individual patient while pushing them to reach their rehabilitative goals.

Robert is an active member of the following organizations: American Physical Therapy Association, Texas Physical Therapy Association and the Greater El Paso Physical Therapy Association.

APTA Section Memberships include: Private Practice Section, Aquatic Section, Orthopedic Section and the Sports Physical Therapy Section.

Kathleen Roth PT, DPT

Kathleen Roth, P, DPT

Dr. Kathleen Roth, co-owner of Tier 1 Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine, has been practicing physical therapy in El Paso, Texas for over 38 years. Kathleen graduated in 1984 from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy and later received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona.

Kathleen worked at Providence Memorial Hospital for 8 years, where she was the out-patient physical therapy department manager and also served as the clinical coordinator for the Providence TMJ and Facial Pain Center. After leaving hospital practice, she entered and has been in private practice for over 30 years, with specialty areas to include orthopedics, women’s health, and craniofacial pain/temporomandibular joint dysfunctions. She has served as an adjunct faculty member of the University of Texas at El Paso Physical Therapy Program for over 20 years. She is in her twentieth year of service as a Continuing Education Reviewer with the Texas Physical Therapy Association. She has been a key note speaker on gender health issues and temporomandibular joint dysfunctions at local and state conferences.

Kathleen was the recipient of the Texas Physical Therapy Association’s two most esteemed awards. She was awarded the Ruby Decker Award in 2015 which honors one physical therapist in the state whose primary responsibility is in direct patient care and who contributes to the growth of the profession and community. That same year, she was awarded the Warren C. Smyth Award which is given to a physical therapist in private practice in recognition of professional, clinical, and educational expertise, innovative delivery of care, participation in the association, commitment to private practice, and community service.

Kathleen is active in the El Paso community. She has been an active volunteer with the American Heart Association and American Cancer Society. She has been an active and sustaining member of the Junior League of El Paso. She had taught Sunday school for over eleven years and currently serves on the Women’s Guild of her church. Kathleen is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Texas Physical Therapy Association, and the Greater El Paso Physical Therapy Association.

Anthony Correa PTA

Anthony Correa

Anthony Correa graduated from Western Technical College in 2022 with an Associate of Applied Science of Physical Therapist Assistant. Anthony strives to provide excellent care to each individual he has the pleasure of working with. When Anthony is not providing care to his patients he enjoys spending time with his children, swimming, working out, and watching movies.

Anthony is an active member of American Physical Therapy Association, Texas Physical Therapy Association, and Greater El Paso Physical Therapy Association.

Kandi Pester PT, MPT

Kandi Appel

Kandi earned her Masters of Physical Therapy from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2006. She also has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Texas at Arlington. Over her career, Kandi has practiced throughout New Mexico and El Paso.

She has served as a Subject Matter Expert in the home healthcare industry in which she identified unique job duties/tasks and vital knowledge, skills, and abilities required of physical therapists. Kandi has practiced in a variety of skills including orthopedics, balance disorders, neuromuscular disorders and vestibular treatments including treatment for BPPV. She holds certifications in McKenzie A and B, and Stott Pilates- Mat.

Kandi enjoys cycling, playing golf and fishing with her family.

Ann Marie Giron OTR

Ann Marie graduated with honors from University of Texas Medical Branch Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy in 1996. Ann Marie has 25 years of experience in the outpatient rehabilitation setting as Director of Work Hardening/Work Conditioning developing individualized reality- based training programs for injured people to return to work safely. She was also part of the Brain/Neuro team in the inpatient rehabilitation setting.

Since the inception of the pandemic, Ann’s focus has been primarily individuals who are experiencing Post-Covid Long Hauler symptoms. She is involved with the Rare Lung Disease Consortium, has participated in numerous seminars, continuing education, and focus groups studying and sharing data related to neurological, cardiovascular, pulmonary, and dysautonomic manifestations Post-Covid.

Ann Marie is a passionate and proactive advocate for both people and animals. She obtained her New Mexico State Certification for Search and Rescue, volunteered for Dona Ana County Sheriff Mounted Patrol Search and Rescue, and has volunteered extensively with many area animal rescue organizations.

Favorite activities include all things animal related, hiking, swimming, shooting, demolition, renovation, painting, woodworking, volleyball, kickball, adventure, exploring, softball, defensive tactics, karaoke, and decorating.

Aaron Escajeda PTA

Jesus Aragon, PTA

Aaron Escajeda is an El Paso native who attended the El Paso Community College Physical Therapist Assistant program. Earning an Associates of Applied Science: Physical Therapist Assistant in 2021.

Aaron’s hobbies include skateboarding, and weight training which led to his passion of becoming a therapist. As a previous physical therapy patient himself, Aaron can truly relate to what patients are going through. This experience motivates him to provide the best patient care possible in order to accomplish their individual goals.

Aaron is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Texas Physical Therapy Association, and EPCC PTA Program Advisory Committee.
